SpectraLinear Inc. Announces Programmable PCI Express Clock Generators

World’s First Family of Programmable PCI Express Clock Generators includes Gen.2 & Gen.3 Compliance for Embedded System Designs

Santa Clara, CA – November 11, 2009 – SpectraLinear, Inc. a leading provider of timing solutions for the embedded, communication, computation, and consumer markets, today announced the world’s first family of programmable, PCIe gen. 2- and gen.3-compliant, clock generators. The bit-rate of Gen -3 is up to 2x faster than Gen- 2. This state of the art technology allows system board designers to achieve high signal integrity with optimum timing margins and performance, consequently allowing rugged manufacturing margins…all this with best of class power consumption and cost structure.

In order to support the diverse requirements of the broad embedded market, the PCIe G3 family offers a variety of options ranging from the number of outputs, to I2C/smBus interface, to the availability of EproClock®, a one time programmable, non-volatile technology.
