Spectralinear Opens Taiwan Branch Office

Taipei, Taiwan – June 25, 2007 – SpectraLinear, a leading and focused supplier of timing and clock generator devices for the computer, consumer, and communication markets, has announced today the company officially extends its presence in Asia by setting up a branch office in Taipei, Taiwan. The move is aimed at providing a more extensive and real-time development, technical and tactical support service to customers in the region.

The operation in Taiwan will enable the company to get closer to its customers in Asia Pacific region, handling sales, marketing, and technical services for customers well as compliance support for their platforms’ timing designs.

“The opening of the Taiwan branch has clear and compelling objectives; we’re here to provide prompt and real-time support for our local and Asia wide customers,” said Elie Ayache, APAC General Manager of SpectraLinear. “Taiwan has become a hub for PC system innovations; the region presents tremendous opportunities in existing and emerging consumer markets while maintaining solid output growth in the domain of communications. Affirming our solid presence in Taiwan is an irrefutable and an essential part of our growth strategy. We plan to continue staffing our office with highly qualified applications/system design engineers to further supplement our very competent foremost team here in Taiwan.”

SpectraLinear has signed an agreement with Yosun Industrial Corporation which is the sole distributor of its Consumer, Communications, and EMI reduction devices throughout Taiwan, mainland China, and the rest of the ASEAN. Progate Technology is the sole representative for all of SpecraLinear’s products in Korea.

In October 2006, SpectraLinear acquired the PC clock business from Cypress Semiconductor and has sustained distribution agreements with Zenitron Corporation, Weikeng Industrial Co., LTD., and Chander Electronics Corp. to ensure continuous and uninterrupted support to PC customers in Taiwan and mainland China, while maintaining FE-Global’s distribution services in the ASEAN for this product line.
